TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.
The two annual TED conferences, in Long Beach/Palm Springs and Edinburgh, Scotland, bring together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less.

About TEDx
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, bringing people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxOrangeCoast, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxOrangeCoast event, a screening of TEDTalks video and a combination of live presenters will be combined to spark deep discussion and connection.
