Listening to great ideas is inspiring, and real ideas incite actions.
TEDxOrangeCoast Challenge is designed to leverage Orange County’s exceptional array of talent and resources. We challenge you to come up with an innovative “Idea Worth Doing” along with a plan to implement it.
One of our missions is to celebrate innovation. We are surrounded by a community of heroes. With the help of our sponsors, we will reward an exceptional individual or team to help make their idea become a reality, and more importantly, to get the exposure and support they need to make it happen.
NEW THIS YEAR: For the first time, we will also recognize a teen project. The goal is to unleash the exceptional array of youth talent in our community. Be creative, use your magic, believe in yourself, dream big and we’ll help you to make it happen! Learn more

Applications are now open. Winners will be announced during our upcoming annual conference in September 2013. They will receive a cash prize along with mentorship. Our Challenge sponsors will have the opportunity to follow and support the winners and their projects throughout the year following the recognition. The winners will have the opportunity to come back on TEDxOrangeCoast Challenge stage in 2014 and report on their projects.
Applicants may present their “ideas worth doing” for a new project or apply with an existing project. We will be looking for the overall positive impact of your project in our community and beyond. Applications must be received by August 31, 2013. If you are a curious learner, an exceptional educator, a talented visual artist, or a team of students with a great idea worth implementing, please apply below.
